Trading Pins and Baseball Trading Pins

Pristine artifacts found in the tomb of King Tut were made with the same Cloisonné process that creates valleys and rims for separating colors on the trading pins. The colors remain separated by metal rims and cannot run together or bleed. This process produces jewelry and lapel pins that endure for centuries, like the discoveries in the pharaohs’ tombs.

To achieve the rims, dips, and valleys on the trading pins, a die is struck on a bronze surface. This die transfers the design to the pin. The recessed portions are filled by hand with powdered pigments, then fired at 1600 degrees Fahrenheit for a few minutes. Each color is applied separately. This assures that the colors will remain separate. The pins are plated with gold or silver and then hand-polished. A quality control inspection assures the best baseball trading pins possible.
